As a 3rd generation builder and licensed contractor, I have literally grown up in this industry. I take pride in my work and I strongly believe that you do the job right the first time or you don’t do it.
As a custom home builder, I have always made sure the new homeowners felt safe in their new home. From using the best lumber, windows, doors, electrical, plumbing and every other detail that goes into their home. Then I started reading about the effects of radon gas levels and realized that it didn’t matter how well a house was built, radon gas can still get in. No matter how well the construction material was, the gas from the radon could be killing the family! I decided every home I built had to be built with radon systems pre-built. You can not test for radon until after a home is built. So it only made sense to include these measures at the time of construction.
I decided if I was going to install radon systems, I wanted to become licensed and certified with the EPA & NEHA. This was a long, tedious process, but I passed all of my exams on the first try and am now offering my expertise to other builders, homeowners and business owners.
